Pre-Games Time Volunteers
The London Organising Committee for the
Olympic Games (LOCOG) has said:
“It will be a real benefit to your community if you can
spare some time now for volunteering. In addition, it will
provide you with some volunteering experience which will
help you decide whether to apply formally to be an Olympic
or Paralympic Games volunteer in 2010”
If you haven't been involved in volunteering activity in
your local community, we would like to invite you to do so.
We suggest that you could contact your local Volunteer
Centre as they will be able to provide you with advice,
support and guidance on volunteering, including offering a
range of opportunities with hundreds of different
organisations. You can find your nearest Volunteer Centre as
