Caring Cards

The ‘Caring Cards’ originally launched to highlight the range of services available from voluntary and community organisations in Suffolk, have now been reviewed and reprinted to cover Ipswich as well as the other five Local Strategic Partnership areas of the county

The packs of cards are an innovative and novel way of communicating the range of voluntary services and support agencies available in each area.

This will be especially useful to employers – especially for small businesses where there is no dedicated Human Resources department - enabling employers to better support employees who are experiencing difficulties.

Often the people who most need help do not know where to turn for guidance and advice with their problems. These ‘Caring Cards’ will now mean they have a quick and easy way to find the voluntary group best suited to assist them

The cards cover a range of issues including disability, relationships, young people, substance abuse, bereavement, mental health and many others. On the back of each of the 31 brightly coloured cards is a list of voluntary organisations in each district of the county which help deal with particular needs, complete with the contact number for the group.

The cards also highlight the need for more volunteers to become involved as volunteers are the lifeblood of many of these groups and each card displays the local call rate number – 08452 235 335 - for “Volunteer in Suffolk”

Packs of 'Caring Cards' (last updated 28th March 2008) can be downloaded below and are also available from your local Volunteer Centre or Local Infrastructure Partnership (details below):
